Electronic voting will commence on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 and will conclude on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 11:45 pm.

Voting members will receive an email from the President, ppossent@syr.edu with a link to a survey monkey with a yes or no vote to approve the bylaws as amended. Assuming the passage of the bylaws change, a call for nominations for the new Ahead Affiliate position will be forthcoming.

For those who did not attend the June Conference in Canandaigua, during our business meeting, two motions were brought to the floor and passed:

    • Establish an ad hoc committee to create policy and guidelines on accessibility for all NYSDSC events and publications.
    • Establish an ad hoc committee to review our current election policy and procedures. Provide recommendations to improve transparency, decisions regarding circumstances if only one person is nominated for any given position and length of time for voting.

I am looking for volunteers to both chair the committee(s) and to be participating members.  If you are interested or need more information, please e-mail me directly at ppossent@syr.edu

    Thank You!

    Paula Possenti-Perez, NYSDSC President 2015-16
