Braille embossers are used to create hard copy Braille. Although this is not a practice that is commonly used for large production of text, embossers may be used to tactile drawings, Braille short text, and/or tests. Most often Braille users may also have access to Braille note takers like the Braille Sense, BrailleNote Apex, or BrailleNote Touch.
The production of Braille text requires the use of a Braille translation program to convert printed text to braille and send to the printer for impact printing
